Eesti Arstide Liit (EAL) on suurim Eesti arstide ühendus, mis seisab rahva tervise ja arstikutse arengu eest, kaitseb arstide huve, edendab meditsiinikultuuri ja arstieetikat ning esindab arstkonna seisukohti tervishoiupoliitika kujundamisel.
Tänavu tähistab arstide liit 100 aasta juubelit. 28. veebruaril 1921. aastal loodi Eesti Arstideseltside Liit. Võõrvõimu ajal kandis liidu järjepidevust Eesti Arstide Selts Rootsis, mis nüüdseks on ühinenud EALiga. Eesti Arstide Liit taastas oma tegevuse 1988. aastal.
Arstide liit ühendab kõigi erialade, piirkondade ja põlvkondade arste. Liikmeskonda kuulub 3280 arsti ja arstiteadusüliõpilaste selts.
100th Anniversary of the Estonian Medical Association
Estonian Medical Association (EMA) is the largest medical association in Estonia that stands for the people’s health and development of the medical profession, protects doctors’ interests, promotes medical culture and ethics, and represents the views of medical professionals in healthcare policy formation.
This year is the 100th anniversary of the Estonian Medical Association. On 28 February 1921, the Association of Estonian Medical Societies was formed. During the occupation years, the association’s activities were preserved by the Estonian Medical Association in Sweden, which has since joined the EMA. Estonian Medical Association restored its activities in 1988.
Estonian Medical Association joins doctors from all regions, areas and generations. The association includes 3280 doctors and the Estonian Medical Students’ Association.
100 Jahre Estnischer Ärzteverband
Der Estnische Ärzteverein (Eesti Arstide Liit, EAL) ist der größte Ärzteverband Estlands, der sich für die Gesundheit der Bevölkerung und die Entwicklung des Arztberufs einsetzt, die Interessen der Ärzte schützt, die medizinische Kultur und ärztliche Ethik fördert sowie die Ärzteschaft in der Gesundheitspolitik vertritt.
Dieses Jahr feiert der Estnische Ärzteverein sein 100-jähriges Jubiläum. Am 28. Februar 1921 wurde der Verein der Estnischen Ärztegesellschaft gegründet. Während der Fremdherrschaft übernahm die Estnische Ärztegesellschaft in Schweden, welche heute im EAL aufgegangen ist, die Aufgaben des Vereins. Der Estnische Ärzteverein nahm 1988 seine Tätigkeit wieder auf.
Der Ärzteverein vereint Ärzte aller Fachrichtungen, Orte und Generationen. Er zählt 3280 Ärzte und Medizinstudenten als Mitglieder.
