Kadrioru loss ja park 300
Kadrioru lossi- ja pargiansambel rajati 18. sajandi alguspoolel, kui Vene tsaar Peeter I ostis 1714. aastal Drentelnide suguvõsalt nende suvemõisa ja ligikaudu sada hektarit maad Lasnamäe nõlva all. 22.juuli 1718 mõõtis itaalia arhitekt Niccola Michetti koos Peeter I-ga maha lossi ja aia plaani. Itaalia villade eeskujul rajas Michetti kolmeosalise lossi astangulise aia keskele. 1719. aastal said katuse alla tiibhooned, 1720–1721 ehitati lossi peahoone ja põhiosas valmis loss 1725. aastal. Keiserlik suveresidents nimetati Peeter I abikaasa Katariina auks Katharinenthaliks (Kadriorg).
Praegu tegutseb Eesti uhkeimas barokklossis Kadrioru kunstimuuseum, mis on Eesti Kunstimuuseumi filiaal. Kadrioru kunstimuuseum on ainus väliskunstile pühendatud muuseum Eestis ning seal asub Eesti riigi suurim Lääne-Euroopa ja Vene kunsti kogu.
Kadriorg Palace and Park 300
The Palace and Park ensemble of Kadriorg was established during the beginning of the 18th century, when the Russian Tsar Peter the Great bought the summer mansion of the Drenteln family and nearly a hundred hectares of land beneath the hillside of Lasnamäe in 1714. On 22 July 1718, Italian architect Niccola Michetti and Peter the Great put together the plan of the palace and the garden. Inspired by Italian villas, Michetti established a three-level palace in the middle of a garden of terraces. The wings of the building were finished in 1719, the main building of the palace was built in 1720–1721, and the main portion of the palace was finished in 1725. The imperial summer residence was named Katharinenthal (Kadriorg) in honour of Catherine I, the wife of Peter the Great.
Currently, the most gorgeous baroque castle in Estonia houses the Kadriorg Art Museum, which is a branch of the Art Museum of Estonia. The Kadriorg Art Museum is the only museum in Estonia devoted to foreign art and Estonia’s largest collection of Western European and Russian art is located here.
Schloss und Park Kadriorg (dt. Katharinental) – 300 Jahre
