Hiina sodiaagikalendri järgi algab 31.jaanuaril 2014 Hobuse aasta, mis kestab kuni 18.veebruarini 2015. Kuna selle aasta loomamärgi elemendiks on puu, nimetatakse algavat aastat ka Puu hobuse aastaks. Hiina mütoloogias on hobusel oluline motiiv ning ta on seotud paljude müütidega, sümboliseerides võimsust, kiirust, visadust ja vabadust. Mõnedel juhtudel on hobune või hobused peategelase rollis, teistel jällegi on neil täita kõrvalosa. Hobune oli kodustatud Kirde Hiinas umbes 7000 aastat tagasi ja tal oli nii tähtis ja oluline roll, et juba üle kolme tuhande aasta tagasi maeti neid koos omanikega hauda. Hobune on üks hiinlaste lemmik loomi. Ta oli kiireim transpordivahend kuni autode tulekuni, mis võimaldas sõita sihtkohta. Seepärast hobune ei ole mitte ainult reisimise sümbol, vaid ka kiire edu märk. Hobuse aastal sündinud inimesed on maised, neile ei meeldi rutiin, nad armastavad vabadust ja reisimist ning on ettearvamatud. Tavaliselt on nad õnnelikud, sõbralikud ja koostööaltid ning ei ole liiga egoistlikud omades palju sotsiaalset energiat.

According to the Chinese zodiac calendar the Year of the Horse will start on January 31, 2014 and will last until February 18, 2015. As the element of that animal sign is the tree, the New Year is also called the Year of the Wooden Horse. In Chinese mythology the horse has an important motive and it is connected with numerous myths, symbolizing power, speed, tenacity and freedom. In some cases the horse or horses are in the role of the main character, while others take a secondary role. Horses had been domesticated in North-Eastern China about 7,000 years ago and they had such an important role that more than three thousand years ago they were buried together in the same grave with their owners. The horse was one of the most favourite animal for the Chinese. It was the fastest means of transportation until the arrival of cars, making it possible for people to arrive in their destinations. Therefore the horse was not just the sign of travelling, but also of fast success. People born in the Year of the Horse are mundane, they do not like routine. They love freedom and travelling and are unpredictable. They are usually happy, friendly and keen, eager to cooperate and are not too egoistic, having a lot of social energy. It is necessary to ride carefully with the cheerful, lively and unpredictable horse and listen to the voice of wisdom. Patience and purposefulness will certainly come in handy in the New Year.
Chinesisches Neues Jahr – das Jahr des Pferdes
Gemäβ dem chinesischen Sternenkalender beginnt am 31. Januar 2014 das Jahr des Pferdes, das bis zum 18. Februar 2015 dauert. Da als Element des Tieres dieses Jahres der Baum ist, wird das Jahr auch als Jahr des hölzernen Pferdes genannt. In der chinesischen Mythologie spielt das Pferd eine wesentliche Rolle, ist mit vielen Mythen verbunden und symbolisiert Kraft, Geschwindigkeit, Zähheit und Freiheit. Vor ca 7000 Jahren wurde das Pferd in Nordostchina gezähmt und so wichtig, dass es schon seit mehr als 3000 Jahren nach dem Tod seines Herren zusammen mit ihm in ein Grab gelegt wurde. Das Pferd gehört zu den beliebtesten Tieren der Chinesen. Es war das schnellste Transportmittel bevor das Auto kam und deshalb ist es nicht nur ein Reisesymbol, sondern kennzeichnet auch schnellen Erfolg.
Im Jahr des Pferdes geborenen Menschen gefällt keine Routine, sie lieben Freiheit und Reisen. Gewöhnlich sind sie glücklich, freundlich, nicht besonders egoistisch und vermögen über viel soziale Energie.
