Ruhnu tuletorn/ 124-01-1997
Ruhnu 39,5 meetri kõrgune majakas ehitati 1877. aastal varasema puitmajakal asemele Prantsusmaal Le Havre's valmistatud detailidest. Tegemist on tollecegse ühe odavaima mudeliga, Läänemere piirkonnas on see tänapäeval ainus säilinud seda tüüpi majakas.
Esimese maailmasõja ajal lasti tuletorni latern lõhkelaenguga õhku, kuid 1937. aastal taastati tornitipp peaaegu endisel kujul. Paigaldati uus sisseseade, kuid laternaaluses ruumis on esialgne mehhanism tänaseni töökorras.
Ruhnu majakas kujutab endast nelja välimise toega terassilindrit, mille sisemuses viib üles keerdtrepp. Punaseks värvitud majakas seisab Haubjerre mäel saare idaosas koordinaatidega N 57º 48´, E 23º 16´ ning selle tuli on nähtav raadiuses 20 meremiili.
Ruhnu lighthouse/ 124-01-1997
The present 39.5 meter iron lighthouse, assembled of parts made in Le Havre, France, was erected on Ruhnu Island in 1877, inctead of a former wooden affair. At the time of its building it was one of the cheapest models available and is the only one of type surviving in the Baltic sea. During World War I (1914-18) the lantern of the lighthouse was blasted with dynamite, but in 1937 the head of the structure was restored nearly to its original appearance. New equipment was installed, but in the room under the lantern the old mechanism survives in working order. The Ruhnu lighthouse is a steel cylinder with four buttresses on the outside and winding stairs up the hollow shaft. The lighthouse is painted red and stands at Haubjerre in the eastern part of the island. It is situated at 57048’N 23016’E, and its light is visible within a radius of 20 nautical miles.
