The first model of the Estonia 1 racing car was built in Estonia in 1958, and two years later it went into serial production. Manufacturing of the car continued for forty years, with only the appearance and characteristics changing during that period.
Estonia is one of few countries where small formula cars have been manufactured for sale. The number of the cars made totals more than 1,300.
The last model, Estonia 26/9, featured on the stamp, had a Volkswagen engine and a Hewland gearbox.
