Eesti Post : Centenary of the Estonian Sports Association Kalev

Set up in 1901, the Estonian Sports Association Kalev has played a major role in the organization of Estonian sports throughout the past century, but also in standing up in the defense of the young republic in the War of Independence of 1918-20.
Members of Kalev have competed at numerous international sports events and Olympic Games, winning 21 world and six Olympic titles. The best known Olympic winners are Alfred Neuland - the first Estonian to win an Olympic gold medal (in weight-lifting in Antwerp in 1920), Tiit Sokk in basketball and Ivar Stukolkin in swimming.
Paul Keres was seven times on the team winning Chess Olympics.
World title winners include wrestler August Englas, basketball players Mai-Maret Otsa-Visnjova and Priit Tomson, and volleyball player Viljar Loor, among others.
The stamp features the badge of the Kalev sports association.
